Alan Arthur George Keates

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the unexpected death of Alan Arthur George Keates in his 86th year.

Born in Southampton, England, he met the love of his life, Maggie in London in 1965. The happy, adventurous couple moved to Montreal in 1967 where they started their family in Canada.

Alan was an avid photographer, tennis player, and star gazer with a brilliant mind. Always quick with a pun, a good story and words of wisdom. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret-Ann "Maggie". He was a proud father to Sarah Knight (Greg), Katie Keates and Jennifer Keates. Loving grandfather to Megan (Viran), Graeme, Winston and Vivian. He will be remembered and missed by his family in England and his extended family in New Zealand.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday Nov 9th from 11 – 2pm at Muskoka Bay Resort,1217 North Muldrew Lake Road, Gravenhurst, P1P 1R2.
