Allan Fredrick Cameron

June 17, 1940 — February 17, 2024

Gravenhurst

Allan Fredrick Cameron, known for his career as an Electronic Technician, has left a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Born in Bracebridge in 1940, Allan's journey came to a peaceful close in Gravenhurst on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

Throughout his life, Allan's passions shone brightly, reflecting his vibrant spirit and creative soul. His love for music was evident as he skillfully played the piano, accordion, and harmonica, bringing joy to those around him. An avid chess player, Allan engaged his strategic mind in friendly competition. One of his greatest pleasures was creating lasting memories with his grandchildren on sunny picnics. Photography allowed him to capture the beauty of fleeting moments, while painting in oils and watercolours became a cherished form of self-expression.

Beyond his hobbies and interests, Allan dedicated many years as a legion member, embodying values of service and camaraderie that resonated deeply within him.

Allan leaves behind a legacy cherished by many. He is survived by the love of his life and mother of their children, Karen Cameron; his children Caroline Therrien and Allan Cameron; grandchildren Ashley Terry, Cameron Therrien (Krista),  Kayla Cameron, Charisma Rutherford, and Alicia Smith; as well as great-grandchildren Amelia, Carter, Alijah, Carson, and Nova. In this time of mourning, let us also remember Allan's dear siblings: Wayne Cameron, Sharon Stevenson, Marianne Cameron - and keep in our hearts the memory of Sandra Hayes and Judy Mortimer.

The world has lost a kindred spirit in Allan Fredrick Cameron - may his memory live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched.

The family is planning a private funeral with a spring interment in Mickle Memorial Cemetery.
