Anne Marie Frances DeCaire, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2023 in Parry Sound. She was born on March 27, 1947 in Gravenhurst. Throughout her life, Anne Marie touched the hearts of all who knew her with her infectious spirit, kindness, and love.

Anne Marie's memory will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of over five decades, Douglas Earl DeCaire. She was a dedicated and caring mother to her four children: Michael (Lisa), Stacy, Amy, and Terry (Courtni). Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her five cherished grandchildren: Emma, Abby, Logan, Andrew, and Aidan. Anne Marie's family meant the world to her; she would move mountains to ensure their happiness and well-being, including the dog, Ben, whom she considered as her baby.

Having a vibrant personality and an outgoing nature, Anne Marie brought joy into the lives of everyone around her. Her passion for gardening was evident as she nurtured beautiful beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, and rhubarb in her backyard. She found solace in getting her hands dirty and watching nature's miracles unfold before her eyes. Additionally, Anne Marie actively participated in programs with the Wahta Mohawks community. She treasured spending time with the Wahta Mohawk senior ladies and cherished every minute she had with them.

Dancing was one of Anne Marie's greatest pleasures. With music flowing through her veins, she eagerly embraced any opportunity to dance with a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face. Road trips held a special place in her heart as they were filled with laughter and adventure. Whether it was a short or long journey, Anne Marie's enthusiasm radiated from every mile traveled.

Christmas was always a magical time for Anne Marie as she delighted in ensuring that everyone received exactly what they wished for. The joy she found in seeing the faces of loved ones light up with happiness was immeasurable. Her passion for giving extended beyond festive seasons, exemplifying her selflessness and caring nature.

Anne Marie had a wide range of interests that brought her joy. She found solace in the pages of books, happily knitting away, and creating intricate beaded crafts. Watching talent shows such as "America's Got Talent," "American Idol," and "X-Factor" allowed her to marvel at the extraordinary gifts people possessed and share in their journeys.

Among Anne Marie's cherished memories was a visit to the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame, which she often reminisced about with fondness. Family vacations to Myrtle Beach and swimming expeditions at the fire college also held special places in her heart. Anne Marie loved spending time with family, whether it was heading up north to visit relatives or embarking on adventures to pick blueberries.

Michael fondly remembers:  "Mom was so mad at me one time when I was younger, she was chasing me around the house on Musquash Road and the only way I could stop her was to hold my hand on her forehead and she was swinging with all her might but couldn't connect.  Our shared love of baseball, picking me up when she was done work.  Mom would always say yes, even if Dad said no".

Lisa remembers: "Anne was my other mother; always supportive, kind and caring.  My favourite memories are when she and I would attend the wellness conferences and we shared great times".
