It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anuj, a beloved son, brother, and friend, whose life, though far too short, was filled with ambition, kindness, and warmth.
Anuj will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Priyanka and Monika, as well as his devoted parents, Surendera and Santosh Singh in India, who cherished him beyond measure. He also leaves behind many dear friends in Canada who became his second family and stood by him in his journey far from home.
In December 2023, Anuj came to Canada with courage and determination to pursue his MBA, carrying with him dreams of building a brighter future. He worked tirelessly to support himself throughout his studies, balancing his academic goals with long hours delivering for Uber Eats, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to his aspirations.
Anuj had a deep passion for cars — he loved talking about them, admiring them, and dreaming about them. This enthusiasm was a reflection of his vibrant personality and curiosity about the world. Outside of his studies and work, he cherished time spent with his close circle of friends, creating memories filled with laughter and companionship.
Those who knew Anuj will remember him as one of the kindest and most genuine people they had the privilege to meet. He had a warm heart, a generous spirit, and a remarkable ability to make others feel valued and cared for. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void.
Anuj’s journey took him far from home, but he remained deeply connected to his loved ones. The outpouring of love and support from his community since his passing stands as a testament to the meaningful impact he had on the lives of others.
He will be profoundly missed by his family in India and his friends in Canada. His dreams, his kindness, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been created to help bring Anuj home to his family in India. Those wishing to support can do so at: https://gofund.me/3c14d4278
