Barry James Anderson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barry James Anderson, a beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle & friend, who passed away on March 20, 2025 at the age of 79 in Midland Ontario. He was born in Amherstburg, Ontario on March 9, 1946 to Clifford & Ann Anderson. Barry started work for the Anderdon & Amherstburg Township in 1977, becoming a superintendent till his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed camping, fishing & all things Muskoka life brought him in his retirement, with a good beer, family & friends.

Barry is survived by his wife Debra; his children, Bill (Tina), Dolly, Candice (Tyler), Cecily (Mark), Jonathan, JoAnn (Charlie), Nora (Steve), Sherry(Dave),Tess (Bill); His sister Patrica; Brother David; & by many grand children, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Barry is predeceased by his parents Clifford & Ann Anderson; Brothers Bob & Micheal; Sister Margret “Peggy”; and his Children Gail(2012) (Wayne), Ernie(1998) & Shellie(2020)

At Barry’s request Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life lunch in will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall 190 Richmond St., Amherstburg, Ontario on Saturday April 12, 2025 from 12:30-3pm.

In lieu of flowers a donation to your local Alzheimer’s society would be greatly appreciated.
