Cathy Ann Cain

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Cathy Cain, who left us on August 3, 2025, at Muskoka Shores Care Community in Gravenhurst, Ontario, at the age of 50. Cathy was born on March 2, 1975, in Bracebridge, Ontario.

Cathy was the beloved daughter of the late Catherine Cain, cherished sister of Pam Cain and Pauline Cain, and a dear aunt to Carrington and Avery.

Those who knew Cathy will remember her bright spirit and her ability to make others feel special. She loved all animals—especially cats—pink peonies, summer days at the beach, and dancing to her favourite 80’s music. She had a gift for making friends wherever she went, always greeting others with kindness, warmth, and her signature sense of humour.

At Muskoka Shores, Cathy became a cherished member of the community. She enjoyed spending time in the lobby, where her presence brought smiles and comfort to staff and residents alike. She was admired for her resilience, her optimism, and her ability to lift others’ spirits even on difficult days. Cathy found joy in life’s simple pleasures: black coffee with sugar, hymn sings, Christmas celebrations, crafts, and peaceful moments in the courtyard.

Cathy’s love, laughter, and unwavering positivity will be missed deeply by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at Cavill Funeral Home, on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Muskoka SPCA, honouring her lifelong love of animals.
