He will be dearly missed by his wife Shelley (von Richter) of 45 years as well as his children: Mary Beth Debison (Michael Bull), Katie Mitten (David), Bhreagh Rantala (Lee), and Alex (Samantha Hendricks). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jake, Louie, Zoe, Dexter, Lillian, and Eleanor, who brought him immense happiness.

He is also survived by his sister, Andrea Stebbings (Bob), and his mother, Joyce Debison (Yates), along with extended family and many friends who will cherish his memory. He was predeceased by his father Frank.

David held a deep appreciation for the outdoors, especially spending his time fly fishing, a passion that brought him peace and joy throughout his life. He treasured holidays with his family and summer days at the trailer surrounded by loved ones and friends, creating memories that will be held close forever.

He graduated from St. Francis Xavier University (1977/1978) and also earned his Commercial Pilot License, reflecting his adventurous spirit and love of exploration. David proudly served as a Second Lieutenant in the Canadian Armed Forces, Armoured Division, and went on to build a successful career as a Territory Manager with Texaco, Imperial Oil, and Shell Canada.
