Douglas Earl DeCaire, affectionately known as Doug, passed away on January 8, 2024, in Bala, Ontario. He was born on October 10, 1951, in Bracebridge, Ontario. Doug was a remarkable individual who led an inspiring life filled with various accomplishments and a genuine love for his family.

Throughout his career, Doug worked at Alcan Wire and Cable for many years. Additionally, with his passion and determination, Doug built DeCaire's Bakery from the ground up. His beautiful bakery became a beloved establishment within the community. He later became a baker at Casino Rama, where he continued with his passion for many years.

Doug was a unique man with a quick wit and sharp mind. Although he may have appeared rough on the outside, those who knew him well understood his loving nature on the inside. He had a talent for baking and always took pride in offering delicious treats to others.

But Doug's talents extended far beyond the kitchen. He possessed an artistic ability that allowed him to draw anything he set his mind to. Furthermore, he showcased his skills by playing the piano or organ with excellence. His music brought joy to those around him.

One of Doug's true passions in life was dancing. Whenever given the opportunity, he would take over the dance floor with vigor and enthusiasm. With graceful spins and twirls, he would sweep his partner off their feet. His love for dance was infectious and uplifted everyone around him.

Above all else, Doug prioritized his family's happiness and success. He deeply cared for his children and grandchildren, always wanting the best for them in life. He leaves behind his loving children, Michael (Lisa), Stacy, Amy, and Terry (Courtni). His legacy also lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Emma, Andrew, Abby, Logan, and Aidan.
