It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Vienneau on July 25, 2025, at Muskoka Shores in Gravenhurst, Ontario, at the age of 67. Born on February 6, 1958, in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Elizabeth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was the devoted wife of the late John Vienneau and the loving mother of the late Angela Vienneau and of Sophie Vienneau (Darren Langlands). Elizabeth was a cherished “Meme” to Britney Fricke (Alex), Mandy Legacy (Devin Picard), Cheyenne Roy, and Sarah Roy, and a proud great-grandmother to Bentley and Shania.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her dear brother Adam McGrath (Anna), and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Jayden McGrath (Ashlei-May), Kaitlyn, Jesse, and Christian McGrath, as well as her great-nieces Sydney and Lilly.
Elizabeth’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was fiercely devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—always putting them first and never missing a chance to spoil them. Holidays were always made extra special thanks to her delicious home cooking, thoughtful surprises, and generous heart.
She had an adventurous spirit, a wonderful sense of humour, and a well-known reputation as a less-than-cautious driver—often giving her family a good scare behind the wheel. Her favourite colour was purple, and she had a deep affection for animals, especially monkeys and hummingbirds.
Elizabeth was rarely seen without a Diet Pepsi in hand—a drink her family jokingly referred to as her “drug of choice.” Her spirited nature and loving presence will be missed beyond words.
If desired, memorial contributions to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
