EMILY VIOLA BARNES died peacefully on Thursday, March 8th, 2012 at Leisureworld Muskoka Nursing Home in Gravenhurst in her 94th year. Dear wife of the late David Barnes (1985). Loving mother of Donald Barnes and Gladys Pallister. Loving mother of Hazel Peacock, Almer, Stan and Ken Barnes. Predeceased by her son Jack Barnes, daughter Evelyn Barnes and step-daughter Pearl Turner. Much loved sister of Gladys Oak and Mathilda Tabobandung. Cherished grandmother of eighteen grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home Gravenhurst on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the time of Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial gifts to The Residents Council of Leisureworld Muskoka, 200 Kelly Dr., Gravenhurst, ON P1P 1P3 would be appreciated.
