It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Eva McCoy on the 15th of September, 2018. She was born in Graz, Austria on All Saints Day, the 1st of November 1948.
She immigrated to Canada with her Oma (Katharina Herschberger) in 1954 and was joined by her parents Kathy and Frank Preletz shortly after.
Eva will always be remembered with love by her husband of 49 years, Steve McCoy. Her children,
Heidi (Kirk Losee), Laura and Dan will miss her deeply. Her mother Katharina, brother Rick (Tammy) Preletz and grandson Ben Gervais will keep her in their hearts forever.
Eva's smiles and laughter always made friends and family feel welcome and loved.
Join us in celebrating Eva's life with visitation on Friday, September 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, Gravenhurst.
Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 a. m. at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mickle Memorial Cemetery, Gravenhurst. A reception will follow in the lower level of Trinity United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
