George Blight
August 2, 1933 — December 25, 2019
The Blight family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of George Blight at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital on December 25, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Colleen Blight (nee Major). Cherished father of Margot Blight of Mississauga, Jill (Brian) Mitchell of Sault Ste. Marie, Timothy (Noriko) Blight of Winnipeg, and Katherine Blight (Ben Meikle) of Owen Sound. Dear grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Loved brother to Jean Salt of Barry’s Bay predeceased by his brother William Blight. Survived by his sister-in-law Shirley Blight of Espinola. Memorial donations would be appreciated to South Muskoka Hospital Foundation and may be arranged through Cavill Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:30 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Gravenhurst, Ontario.
