Gerald Rayner

Peacefully at his home in Gravenhurst with his beloved wife Elva at his side on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Gerald Rayner in his 81st year. Beloved husband to Elva Rayner (nee Barnes). Loving father to Maxine Pozgaj, Candy Rayner (Terry Barnes) and Steven Rayner (Joanne Nicol ) all of Gravenhurst. Gerald was predeceased by his eldest daughter Colleen Lynn Jones in January 2005.Much loved grandfather to; Tara Rayner, Tony Pozgaj, Dylan Barnes, Mark, Justin and Jocelynn Rayner and Jori Leah Jones Brother to: Sandra Code. Predeceased by his siblings Kenneth Rayner, Shirley Appleton and infant baby brother Keith Rayner. Beloved brother-in-law to: Carole Foley, Roger Barnes, Aubrey Barnes, Janie Bradford (Bill Cannon), Patricia Cousins and Debra Wickett. Predeceased by his brothers-in-law Roy and Marvin Barnes. A graveside service will take place at Mickle Memorial Cemetery in Gravenhurst on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 10:30 a. m. graveside. Following the graveside service, friends are welcome to join Elva and the Rayner family for a time to celebrate Gerald's life and to share memories at the Gravenhurst Royal Canadian Legion Branch #302 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p. m.
