June 6, 1962 — September 26, 2015

Passed away peacefully at his home at Morrison Lake in Kilworthy with his family at his side on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in his 54th year. Beloved husband of 25 years to Angie Nethercott. Much loved father to Megan Kobe and Lucas Kobe. Beloved brother to Pat (Lou) Babin of Comox, B. C., Julie (John) Ollivier of Milton, Ont., Janie (Rob) Frank of Brampton, Ont., and Kim (Len) Cunningham of Carbon, Al. Brother-in-law to Marcie Boyce of St. Thomas, Ont. Gordon will be missed by his nieces and nephews: Christiane Babin of Vancouver, B.C., Jessica Boyce of London, Ont., Mike Babin of Trenton, Ont., Mark Atkinson, Oakville, Ont., and David Boyce of London, Ont., and by his great nephew: Cooper Babin and great nieces: Riley Atkinson and Lillie Babin. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Norma Kobe and by his nephew Christopher Jones. Gordon will be fondly remembered by his mother- and father-in-law Don and Carolyn Nethercott of Langton, Ont. In keeping with Gordon's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation & Church Memorial Service The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church, 550 Grove Street East, Barrie, Ontario on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A service to celebrate Gordon's life will be held at the church on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 1:30 pm. If so desired, donations in memory of Gordon may be directed to the Brain Tumor Research Fund, c/o Foundation for St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto.
