Hazel Dean

Passed away suddenly but peacefully at her home at the Gravenhurst Manor on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Glen George Dean who predeceased Hazel on August 27, 2005. Beloved mother to Wayne Dean and his wife. Joanne of Ajax and Lynn Tyrkus of Gravenhurst. Beloved sister to Doreen DiLisi (Tony) of Scarborough. Hazel was predeceased by her siblings: Jim, Lloyd, Laverne, Nelson and Ken Smith. Much loved grandmother to Heather Leckey (James), Lesley Dean (Jamie) and Mitchell Dean (Megan), Holly Kerrigan (Kris) and Jeffrey Tyrkus. Beloved great grandmother to Peyton, Harper, Adelaide and Khloe. In keeping with Mrs. Dean's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home in Gravenhurst on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. A Service to celebrate Hazel Dean's life will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. In memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
