Daughter of James McTaggart & Kathryn Rennie
Known as "Aunt Bell or Izzy" to her family, she was a source of strength and guidance throughout her 92 years, passed peacefully on Jan 27, 2026. Isabell made her life's work bringing her family together, organizing summer "Izzy Fest", and preparing abundant tables on all the holiday occasions. Everyone was always welcome at Aunt Bell's table. She spent hours with her niece’s and nephews, playing board games, reading nursey stories, sleepovers, and snapping the snap dragon flowers in the backyard. She will forever be remembered for her oatmeal cookies & strawberry/rhubarb & blueberry pies, and the Christmas Hootch.
Isabell was a lifetime member of the Severn Bridge Women's Institute and treasurer for the Severn Bridge Agriculture Fair Board. She was a dedicated volunteer and enjoyed all the facets of these positions.
Aunt Izzy was a strong, gentle soul who believed in kindness and support, always willing to listen and offering excellent advice to all who sought it (and some who didn’t but needed it). She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering family devotion, touching countless lives with her generous spirit.
She is survived by her devoted Niece's & Nephew's: Andy (Amber), Jamie (Robyn), Gerry, David, Leanne, Edward, Kim (Diane), Stehpen. Great Niece's & Nephews: Samanatha, Gavin, Brody, Nolan, Jennifer, Jeffery and her brother James McTaggart
She was preceded in death by her Siblings, Elanore Allen, Kathryn Hatherley, Frederick McTaggart, Joan Kennedy.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
