James Henry Brown

James Henry Brown passed away suddenly at the age of 66 at his home in Bracebridge, Ontario. Born on February 14, 1957, to Mary Tingey (Ruttan) and Percy Brown, James was a simple man who lived life on his own terms. He was cherished by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

James leaves behind a legacy through his surviving family members who were very dear to him. His sons James Percy Albert and Robert Brown will carry on their father's memory with love and pride. James was also blessed with grandchildren Rebekah and Jared who brought immense joy into his life.

In addition to immediate family members, James was a half-brother to Lloyd (Barb), Warren (Carol), Sheldon (Dawn), Malcolm (June), Vince, and Ted Tingey (Flora), as well as Karen Loshaw(George). Their support and camaraderie meant the world to him over the years.

James led a fulfilling life working as a factory worker. He dedicated many years to his career, where he showcased his strong work ethic and commitment. Colleagues remember him as a reliable and skilled individual who always brought a positive attitude to the workplace.

Outside of work, James had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed spending his free time hunting and fishing, seeking solace and connection with nature. With his love for the wilderness, he found peace in the simplicity of these activities.

It is heartbreaking to say goodbye to such an amiable soul like James. However, as we mourn our loss together, let us also find comfort in the memories we shared with him. James's laughter, his kind-heartedness, and his unwavering love for his family and friends will always be treasured.

On January 13, 2024, friends and family will gather to pay their respects during the visitation taking place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cavill Funeral Home located at 215-1 Bay Street in Gravenhurst, Ontario. It is here that they will share stories of James's wit and warmth while finding solace in each other's company. if desired, memorial donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated, and may be arranged online, or through Cavill Funeral Home.

Rest in peace, James. May your spirit soar high in the heavens, forever embraced by the tranquility of the great outdoors you cherished so deeply. You touched countless lives, and your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
