James Johnson

July 7, 1943 — June 24, 2015

Peacefully after a brief illness, Jim passed away at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Wednesday, June 24th, 2015 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband to Carol Diana Johnson (nee Neal) of Gravenhurst. Beloved brother to Margaret Johnson of Edmonton, Alberta. Jim was predeceased by his sister Vieno Mary Skerl and by his brother Douglas Johnson. Jim will be forever missed by his special nieces Susannah and Allison Skerl on the Johnson family side. Beloved brother-in-law to: Gloria (Richard) Charette of North Bay, Doreen Neal, John Neal (Dorothy, Raymond (Christine) Neal, Len (late Lucy) Neal, Debbie (late Roger) Bickle and Patti Neal all of Gravenhurst, Tim (sue) Neal of Utterson and Joe (Nancy) Neal of Severn Bridge. Jim will be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews on the Neal family side. A very special thank you to Dr. Adam MacLennan for his comforting words, his sincere compassion and for the great care given to Jim over the years. Thank you also to nurse Julie Charters for her kindness and thoughtfulness and to Closing the Gap Community Health Care nurses for their wonderful home care. In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be any services held. A private family get together was previously held (in May) with Jim present, in celebration of his life and the great love we all had for him. In memory, donations to a charity of your choosing to honour Jim's life would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, Gravenhurst. Messages of condolence may be left at "Jim will now be entertaining family and friends in heaven with his jokes and witty sense of humour." ~~~~~Gone but never forgotten~~~~

In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. Services will not be held.
