Jean Burton

Burton, Audrey (Jean) (nee Wood) 1925-2018 Jean passed away peacefully at the Granite Ridge Retirement Residence in Gravenhurst on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in her 93rd. year. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Ernest (Ernie) Burton who predeceased Jean on March 12, 2005. Much loved mother to Jim (Renee) Burton of Gravenhurst and Don (Kim) Burton of Bala. Special grandmother to Stephanie Burton (Mike Ryan) of Gravenhurst. Great grandmother to Madison Jean Ryan. Beloved sister to Ron (Helen) Wood of Shelburne. Predeceased by her brothers Geoffrey, Fred and Ernie and by her sister Beryl. Jean will be missed by her several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home in Gravenhurst on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 12 noon until time of service at 1:00 p. m. Interment of ashes will take place at the Glen Orchard Cemetery, Port Carling in the Spring of 2018. If so desired, donations to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
