Jean Purdy

Jean Purdy began her new journey on Wednesday, March 7th, 2012, peacefully on her own terms, at the age of 94. Greeted by her beloved husband Oscar, brother Reg, sisters Ruth Williams (Lloyd), Norma Doherty (Bill) and by her best friends Lillian and Glen Richardson, all predeceased. Special thanks to Beth Sellar, Rae Francis, CCAC, Jennifer and Linda of Red Cross, Dr. Hillyard, Wendy Wyllie and Dr. Daniel. Our magnificent Muskoka Paramedics, Tracy, Hope, Paula and the allied staff at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital for caring for us as if we were members of their own families and Greg Way and Cathy McNeice of Cavill-Turner Funeral Home. Finally a special thank you to Rev. Dr. Jim Sitler who has been there for us on so many occasions. The family will receive friends at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home on Thursday March 15, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. until time of service in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Burial and a reception will take place in the Spring. For those wishing, donations to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation would be most worthwhile and appreciated. Respectively, Ross Purdy.
