Joeann left this world on January 8th, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family, as she transitioned into eternal peace. She was 81 years old.

 

Joeann, born August 8th, 1940, in the charming town of Orillia, Ontario, embarked on a journey through life that touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. As a young woman, she captivated the heart of her husband, and together they embarked on a lifetime of love, adventure, and resilience.

 

A dedicated military wife, Joeann courageously traversed the globe alongside her husband, building a life together in the face of the challenges and uncertainties that military life often entails. Throughout the years, she cultivated a home for her family, establishing a foundation of love, support, and strength that would carry them through life's joys and sorrows.

 

Joeann was the proud mother of four children: Doug, Susann, Carol, and Bill. Her unwavering commitment to their well-being and happiness was evident in every aspect of her life. She tirelessly devoted herself to creating a nurturing and loving environment, instilling in her children the values of compassion, resilience, and the importance of family bonds. Joeann was their greatest cheerleader and defender in life. She was there for every one of her children’s activities and spent a lot of her time guiding Brownies and Girl Guides. 

 

As a grandmother and great-grandmother, Joeann's warmth and affection knew no bounds. Her presence brought joy to family gatherings, and her love was a constant source of inspiration. She delighted in the laughter and playful energy of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

 

In her youth, Joeann was an avid curler, displaying grace and skill on the ice. Her love for sports and recreation was not only a testament to her physical prowess but also to her zest for life. She was known for her infectious laugh, a joyous sound that could light up even the darkest of rooms. Her great sense of humor endeared her to friends and family alike, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to share in her company.
