It is with heavy hearts that we announce that John Fenwick Bryan passed away at home on May 20, 2026, at the age of 77.

John was the beloved husband of Deb Jean (Devlin), with whom he shared many years of love, partnership, and quiet moments together. He was the father to John Bryan Jr. and grandfather to Kurtis and Kayden, and his family was always at the center of his life.

He will be deeply missed by his sister Linda Lints (Norman) and his sister-in-law Eileen Bryan. John was a cherished uncle to Darlene, Rick, Rob, Gord Bryan, Sherry, Amy, and James Lints, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

John was predeceased by his parents, Guy and Elsie Bryan, his brother Bob, and his sisters Frederica and Freda.

He also shared lasting friendships with many, including his childhood friend Ray Syvret and longtime friend Rosalind Fraser, whose companionship he valued deeply throughout his life.

John was a man who worked with his hands and his heart. A skilled handyman, he had a remarkable ability to tackle almost any job—there was always someone calling on him to fix, build, or repair something. He found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits: driving his farm tractor, cutting firewood, and spending time in the bush. He enjoyed watching his grandsons ride their dirt bikes around the farm. Above all, he treasured the quiet, everyday moments with his wife Deb and their dogs.

John will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his willingness to help others, and his deep connection to the land and the people he loved.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.  Remember, it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.

Memorial contributions to the OSPCA of Muskoka would be greatly appreciated.
