McCARROL NANGLE, Karen Louise - Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Karen was the beloved wife of Glenn Nangle, loving mother of Amy Haigh (John), and Katelynn Nangle (Marty Naulls). Cherished grandmother of Kelton and Brennan Haigh. Dear sister of Judi Holland (Steven). Predeceased by her parents Clare and Bette McCarrol.
Karen was born in London, Ontario and at a young age moved with her family to Muskoka where she was raised. Karen always enjoyed sewing, and was very talented when it came to designing with fabric. She achieved a degree in Fashion Design from George Brown College and went on to enjoy a career designing ski wear for Ditrani in Toronto. Shortly before meeting Glenn she relocated back to Muskoka. Karen loved her animals, being at the cottage, anything purple, lilacs, gnomes, playing video games, watching judge shows on the television and her electric blue jeep. She was also a Christmas fanatic and always had the house fully decorated for every occasion. She will be missed deeply by her husband, daughters, sister, and grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Gravenhurst. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment in the spring at Mickle Memorial Cemetery.
