Kenneth George Rose, of Gravenhurst, ON, died peacefully at Andy’s House in Port Carling, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in his Sweetie’s arms, just after his 82nd birthday.
Ken will be remembered for his wonderful smile, sense of humour, and witty character. He was such a happy man with a beautiful soul. His spirit will live on through all the lives he touched. The world has lost such a good, caring man. His love of golf was truly his passion in life having 3 holes in one. He loved playing golf with his wife Carol travelling all over North America and he got to play the historic St. Andrews Golf Links in Scotland.
He was the National Sales Manager for Canada working for Trident Seafoods. He had so much respect for them, and they did for him along with his loving, fun, witty character.
He adored his daughters Nancy-Anne and Jennifer dearly along with his stepson Peter who was like a son to him. He was so very proud of all five of his grandchildren, teaching them to swim, kayak and to love and respect nature. He also taught them to be kind, thoughtful, authentic individuals and to love life to its fullest.
Those who will miss him most include his wife, Carol (Sweetie), daughters Nancy-Anne & Jennifer, stepchildren Julie & Peter, grandchildren Connor, Nicholas, Tyler, Madelyn, and Charlotte. His siblings Don, Larry, and Linda, along with his nephews and nieces Duilio, Ron, Rick, Jeff, Brad, Chris, Scott, Jason, Nikki, Michelle, Debbie, Carrie and Jason. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Madeleine and George, as well as siblings Steven, Roy, and Marie. He was also predeceased by his niece, Lisa.
His Celebration of Life will be held at South Muskoka Curling & Golf Club, 10 Golf Course Rd., Bracebridge, ON P1L 1M6 on August 9, 2026, between 2 - 4 PM.
Donations to Andy’s House, Port Carling, would be greatly appreciated as he felt serene, happy & at home there.
