Lois Lavina Beiers passed away peacefully at Victoria House Retirement Residence in Orillia on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the age of 83. Lois was the beloved wife of 61 years to Fred Beiers.
Lois was the beloved mother of Chris Beiers (Amy), and the cherished grandmother of Taylor and Chase Beiers. She is survived by nieces and nephews Jaqueline (Stephen Moore), Erica (Rico Falcone), Reid (Sonja Dumais), Christine, Grey Jr., and Bev. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Doris (Dirk). She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Doig (Greame) and Grey Pridmore (Eunice), as well as her nieces, Wendy and Leslie-Anne (Mark Lauzon). She was also predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law Clarence (Loretta), Moe (Philamina), Velma, Edith (Norm), and Ray (Ev).
Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She took great pride in her family. She was a cat lover and had a true soft spot for animals.
She spent most of her career as a teacher with Simcoe County District School Board, where she taught for many years.
Thank you to Victoria House staff for her care over the past year, and a special thank you to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital staff and Dr. Chris Richardson for her continued care over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held in August, and details will be published here.
