Lorne Grant Edgar

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Lorne passed on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge, ON in his 91st year.

Lorne was the beloved husband of Andrea (née Percy). He was a proud and loving father to Cathy (Glen) and Glenn (Laurie), and a cherished grandfather to Meghan, Madison (Eric), and Rachel (James). His family was his greatest joy, and his love for them was unwavering.

He was predeceased by his brother Barry, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Lorne attended Silverthorn Public School and York Memorial Collegiate, and later built a successful career as a Lithographer at Maclean-Hunter. Known for his craftsmanship and creativity, he enjoyed building clocks and spending time working around the house. These hobbies reflected his patience and skill, qualities that defined him throughout his life.

Above all, Lorne was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather whose kindness and warmth touched everyone around him. His legacy of love and dedication will never be forgotten.

A private service was held at Cavill Funeral Home.
