Hopkins, M. J. Gerald - Died peacefully, on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Muskoka Shores Nursing Home in Gravenhurst. Beloved husband of the late Anne (Diak). Loving father of Suzanne Hopkins of Gravenhurst. Proud grandfather of John & Luke and great grandfather of Emily. Gerald is survived by sister Johanna Kleinsteuber (Tom) and sister-in-law Kay Hopkins (Harold ). He is predeceased by sister Nora McNeely ,brother in law Reginald McNeely and brother Harold Hopkins (Kay) and brother in law Tom Kleinsteuber.

Gerald was an Air Force Veteran, Retired Teacher, and avid Farmer with a passion for growing asparagus and strawberries. Gerald was one of the founding members of the Farmers Market in Gravenhurst .The family is grateful for the compassionate care given by the staff at Muskoka Shores Nursing Home and for the special care given to him by RNA Myrna Keizer.

The Memorial Mass is taking place on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 @ 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church Gravenhurst with reception to follow. Condolences may be made at www.cavillfuneralhome.com.
