GROH, Madeline Irene (Former Owner & Operator of "Barrs Ladies Wear", Gravenhurst from 1975 ~ 1989) Peacefully at The Pines Long Term Care Facility in Bracebridge on Monday, February 1, 2016 with her loving family at her side. Madeline Irene Groh (nee Darby) beloved wife of 70 years to James Andrew Groh of Gravenhurst. Beloved mother to Richard Groh (Judy) of Ajax and Maureen Groh-Chamberlain (Doug) of Gravenhurst. Madeline was predeceased by her son Michael Andrew Groh in 2014. Beloved grandmother to Jason (Colleen) Groh of Burlington, Damon Groh of Oakville, Colin Groh (Meredith Galbraith) of Milton and Aidan Chamberlain of Gravenhurst. Beloved great grandmother to Gabrielle, Evan, Carter, Finnley and Ellis. Beloved sister-in-law to Marie Groh-Barr. Madeline will be missed by her special cousins Doris Campbell and Ivey Matwey and by her nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, in Gravenhurst on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 7 ~ 9 p.m. Rosary will be recited in the chapel on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. followed by a Rebekah Lodge Service at 8:30 p. m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Gravenhurst on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. In memory, donations to the Cancer Centre at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, 201 Georgian Drive, Barrie, Ontario or to The Pines Support Committee, 98 Pine Street, Bracebridge, Ontario P1L1N5 would be appreciated.
