It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mona Marie Seeliger/Speicher on November 26, 2025.
Born in 1957, Mona's life was marked by kindness, generosity, and an unyielding commitment to love unconditionally.
Mona was a devoted mother to three children. Her daughter, Connie Seeliger and sons Colin Seeliger and Casey Seeliger, whom survives her and will continue to honour her memory. Mona was also a loving grandmother to Willow Seeliger, who was a source of immense joy for her.
Mona was the beloved Daughter of the Late Dora and the Late Oscar Speicher. Loving Sister Betty Marshall (Late Jack) of Orillia, the Late Faye Kirilenko and Ron (both deceased) Larry Speicher ( Late Gloria) of Bracebridge, Wilson and Theresa Speicher of Gravenhurst, Nancy Snoddon of Bracebridge, Clarence and Wanda Speicher of Gravenhurst.
Mona grew up on a Dairy Farm in Barkway and was one of Seven children. She attended school at Ryde Central School and Gravenhurst High School. She was a very popular student who enjoyed many friends. She was known as an old fashioned girl with hard working ethics that she was taught at a very young age.
Mona was a gentle, sweet and kind woman, cherished by her family, her friends, and the many lives she impacted positively. She had a unique ability to radiate warmth and make everyone feel embraced by her love, and her remarkable spirit will be sorely missed. Her dedication was reflected in her professional life as she earned a nursing degree and became a registered psychiatric nurse.
