With sadness, we announce that Patricia—affectionately known as Pat, or Auntie Pat—passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025 in Oshawa, ON.
Born and raised in the small town of Gravenhurst, Patricia cherished her roots and carried that sense of community with her throughout her life. After graduating from McMaster University, she pursued her passion for education, building a remarkable career with the Durham Board of Education. Over more than three decades, Patricia dedicated herself to teaching History and English, inspiring countless students with her knowledge, patience, and care.
Patricia will be dearly missed by her brother John, her sister Sandra, and their families, along with many friends, colleagues, and former students who will remember her warmth and generosity.
True to her giving nature, Patricia supported many charitable organizations throughout her life. In her memory, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice.
Patricia will be laid to rest at Mickle Memorial Cemetery in Gravenhurst, where she will rest peacefully among the community she called home.
