It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Paula Marie Schamehorn, who passed away peacefully in Gravenhurst, Ontario, on June 30, 2026, at the age of 65.

Born on August 4, 1960, in Orillia, Ontario, Paula was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished sister, and treasured friend whose kindness and creativity touched the lives of many.

Paula was the beloved wife of Miles Richard Schamehorn. She was a loving and proud mother to Nathan, Natassia, and Shawn, who were the center of her world. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Robert, Sandra, Debbie, and Paul, as well as her many in-laws, extended family members, and friends.

Paula was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Elizabeth Einarson; her sisters, Gail and Heather; and her brother, Bradley.

A gifted and creative person, Paula truly enjoyed working with her hands. She found great joy in crafting, drawing, and creating beautiful things. An excellent artist, she had a natural talent for drawing and expressing herself through her artwork. She also had a special love for gardening, particularly flower gardening, and took great pride in nurturing and caring for her gardens. Her creativity, warmth, and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Paula leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to her family. Her memory will be cherished forever by those fortunate enough to have shared in her life.

A Celebration of Paula's Life is being planned for August and details will be posted once finalized.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Paula will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered always.
