Randy Coon (MacDonald)

Randy Leigh Stephen Coon (MacDonald) passed away suddenly at home in Gravenhurst on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the age of 40.

Randy was the much-loved son of John Coon and step-son of Theresa Reid. He loved his cousin “Big” Robert and often asked about him. Randy was predeceased by his grandparents, Jack and Maeve Coon, William Reid, and cousins Robert Coon Jr. and Margaret Lesveque, and many aunts and uncles.

Randy was an athlete for Special Olympics Muskoka for many years, excelling in baseball, skiing, floor hockey, curling, and bowling. Randy loved all sports and enjoyed time with the many friends he made over the years.

Randy enjoyed many hobbies, including word searches, puzzles, and crafting. He found great joy singing, dancing, and competed in Community Living Idol competitions. He always brought a smile to those around him. Randy could rock out to any song.

He loved his friends and would do anything for them.

Randy loved spending time camping, fishing, family gatherings, and sitting around the Coon fire pit, singing his heart out.

Randy’s favourite colour was blue, and he absolutely loved motorcycles.

Randy will be lovingly remembered for his love, infectious smile, and will be missed by all of his family. “Love you to the moon and back”

A memorial service will be held at Cavill Funeral Home on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11:00 am, followed by an interment at Mickle Memorial Cemetery, Gravenhurst. A reception will follow the interment at the Gravenhurst Legion. Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics Muskoka and may be arranged online or through Cavill Funeral Home.
