Raye Delmar Hewitt

Raye Hewitt passed away peacefully at home in Gravenhurst, Ontario, on November 24, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Thessalon, Ontario, on July 17, 1955, to his parents Manley and Jean Hewitt.

He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Jeanne, and loving father of: Jesse (Billie-Marie), Meagan (Jeffrey), Tracy, and the late Tina. Raye was a proud grandfather to Montana, Issac, Nolan, Lukas, Wyatt, Josh, and Kyle who brought him endless joy.

Raye is also survived by his siblings Viola (late Cliff), Randy (Ella), Frank (Theresa), David (Carol), and Jody, and is predeceased by Sue and Sonny.

A dedicated truck driver for over 30 years, Raye was known for his kindness, generosity, and strong work ethic. He loved his family above all else and cherished time spent entertaining, sharing meals, and filling the room with laughter and jokes.

A celebration of Raye’s life will be held in the spring.

Raye’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
