It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden loss of our cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, Ray Rochon, in Gravenhurst on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Family was everything to Ray. He was the beloved husband of Shelley, and the proud, devoted father of Andrea (Ian Dick) and Natalie (Tony Curran). Ray was an adoring grandfather to Leo, the apple of his eye, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Ray was one of ten siblings and will be deeply missed by Monique, Nicole, Dan, Gisele, Andre, Marthe, Mireille, Luc, and Lucie, and their families, who shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love with him. Predeceased by his extraordinary parents Raoul and Rita Rochon, and his wonderful in-laws Rodney and Eleanor Prophet.
A cherished friend, respected colleague, and loyal golf buddy, Ray had a gift for connection. He left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege to know him – through his kindness, his humour, and his unwavering generosity. His impact on the lives he touched will be felt for years to come.
Ray’s legacy is one of love, dedication, hard work, and a quiet strength that brought comfort and stability to those around him. He will be remembered always and missed beyond measure.
There will be a celebration of life at Average Joe’s in North Bay on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 1-4pm. We encourage all family, friends, and colleagues to join for a toast to the amazing man we know as Ray Rochon.
