Robert James McLaren

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Robert James McLaren on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Muskoka Shores in Gravenhurst, at the age of 79.

Robert was the beloved husband of Barbara Bissett, and proud father of Deanna McLaren. He was a cherished stepfather to Michelle Bissett, and a loving grandfather to Shaylyn Hembruff and Jordan Phillips.

Robert’s passion for woodworking and his love of model trains brought him countless hours of joy. He was a devoted member of the Midland & District Model Train Club, where he found community, friendship, and an outlet for his creativity.

Robert will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his craftsmanship, and the deep care he showed to his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
