Salvatore Adam Ricottone

January 27, 1956 — February 16, 2024

Bracebridge

Sal Ricottone passed away peacefully at Andy's House and into the loving arms of his Saviour, on Friday, February 16, 2024 with his loving family by his side, leaving behind memories that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Sal will forever be missed by his wife and the love of his life Pamela, their children; Jesse, Jacob, Bella and Naomi. Siblings John Ricottone (Ada), Lisa McGoldrick (Mike), Kelli Vieyra (Ben), Joey Ricottone (Julie), and sister-in-law Kitty Arnot (David).

Also left to mourn his loss are his mother-in-law Norma Jolly-Stodart (Keith); brothers-in-law Scott Jolly (Tracy), and Mark Jolly (Lynn) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sal graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in California then started his career as a Chiropractor in Burlington. In the early 2000’s he moved his family to his dream destination in Muskoka where he became a Flight Paramedic after graduating from CTS Paramedic Training Program in Barrie. Despite his impressive career achievements, Sal found solace and fulfillment in his retirement working at Home Hardware in Bracebridge.

Outside of his work, Sal found joy in simple pleasures. He loved the Muskoka life, embracing nature and spending time outdoors. Sal also enjoyed boating adventures and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.

Those who knew Sal best describe him as a man with a great sense of humour as well as a kind gentle soul. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His knack for fixing anything he set his mind to earned him the nickname of “ MacGyver”.

Deeply devoted to God, Sal’s faith was the guiding force in his actions and interactions with others.

To honour Sal’s memory, a Celebration of his life will be held at the family home in the summer. Date and times will be announced here when finalized.

Any memorial contributions to Andy's House, Hospice in Port Carling would greatly be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
