Stanley Lawrence Henderson

Stanley Lawrence Henderson passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, in his 99th year.

Born on October 28, 1927, in Grimsby, Ontario, Stanley grew up in Hamilton, where he worked for many years as a dedicated local butcher. A passionate sports fan, he could always be found cheering loudly for his beloved Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Later in life, Stanley retired to his dream home on Lake Muskoka. He truly loved the cottage lifestyle, spending countless happy hours boating in the summer and snowmobiling through the winter trails.

Stanley was the deeply loved husband of Norma, with whom he shared a beautiful and remarkable 75 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Joe (Wendy) and the late Sandra. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews, friends, and wonderful neighbours.

The family extends their heartfelt and special thanks to all the nurses and health team members who provided such compassionate care for Stan over the last many years.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the SPCA in Stanley’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
