Terrance Vint

Vint, Terrance (Terry) Lyle
Passed away Tues. Oct. 23, 2018 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital at 71, the only child of Lyle Stanley Vint and Thelma Eva Roberts (both deceased). He attended W.A. Porter C.I. and UofT, earning a B. Music degree. Terry spent a wonderful year travelling Europe earning his keep playing the piano. After obtaining his teaching certificate he embarked on a remarkable 28 yr. career teaching music at Gravenhurst High School. He was well loved and is remembered by his students for his exuberant band leading and for bringing a lifelong love of music into their lives. He is also fondly remembered as a church organist who helped lead worship at Trinity United. Terry, a dedicated Rotarian, was proud of the work done by the Rotary club. In retirement, Terry split his time between Gravenhurst and Sarasota, enjoying golf and good times with his many friends.
Terry will be deeply missed by his loving Aunts, Goldie (John, deceased) and Jacqueline (Ray, deceased) and his cousins Jeff (Veva), Jennifer (Doug), Jill (Jeff), Tony (deceased), Carley (Ken) and Josie and all of his extended family. His many friends in Gravenhurst and Sarasota were very important to him and all of you made his life fulfilled.
A special thank you to Ralph Hair for his unwavering support as Terry navigated the health care system in his final year.
Also a special thank you to Dr. Gair, Dr. Gleeson and Monica (and all the nurses and staff) at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital for your dedicated and supportive care of Terry.
A service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday November 2 at Trinity United Church, Gravenhurst.
In lieu of flowers, support of the Rotary club or a charity of your choice in Terry's honour would be appreciated.
