It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Trudy Moreen Langdon, who was born on March 31, 1963, in Botwood, NL, and passed away on August 10, 2025, in Gravenhurst, ON.
Beloved wife of George Bernard Hutt and loving mother of Scott MacEachern. Cherished sister of Shirley Jones (Harold), Sharon Keeping (Victor), Verna Hemeon (Bruce), Brenda Werkmeister (Robert), Beverly Inder (Mike), Reg (Judy), Eugene (Cynthia), and Dennis. Fondly remembered by a large circle of nephews, nieces, and cousins as well as special friends Tracy, Evan, Aaron, and Wyatt Beswick.
Predeceased by her parents Rowena and Ward Langdon; her siblings Stan (Vine), Dave (Winnie), Wandell (Evelyn), Betty Rideout (Edward), and Lynda Stuckless (Enos). As the youngest of fourteen children, Trudy was, in her own words, “spoiled”—and loved for it.
Trudy had a lifelong love of reading, an avid bingo player, a dislike of fishing and boating, and an unshakable devotion to Christmas—so much so that she had a special room decorated year-round in festive red and white. She treasured time with her family, and her warm heart and generous spirit were constants in the lives of those she loved.
She worked for many years at Fabricare Gravenhurst, followed by about a decade at Dollarama, where she was known for her kindness and sense of humor. Trudy will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her many longtime friends and neighbours from Scout Road in Botwood, NL, where she grew up before moving to Ontario in the 1980s.
Her life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always.
