In Loving Memory of William Alfred Donald Murley (March 9, 1929 - August 1, 2016) Born March 9, 1929 in Victoria Newfoundland, Don died peacefully on Monday, August 1, 2016 surrounded by family at The Pines Long-Term Care Home in Bracebridge, ON at the age of 87. Predeceased by his cherished wife of 60 years, Evelyn. Beloved father of David (Elaine), Brian (Vicky), Glenn (Karen), Donna (Jerry) and John. Very loving grandad to Jennifer, Allison, Kimberly, James, Michael, Steven, Kevin, Rebecca and Ryan; great-grandfather to Sarah, Emily, Charley and Samuel. Missed by his brother Roy (Cynthia) and sister Edna. Don was a proud Newfoundlander and talented, respected dentist. He and Evelyn retired to Minden after building a lakeside home, where family was always welcome. They enjoyed entertaining friends, gardening, boating and sing-songs around the evening fire, while continuing to travel. The Murley family extends their thanks and appreciation to the caring staff at The Pines, especially in his final months. Visitation will be held at the Cavill-Turner Funeral Home, 215-1 Bay Street Gravenhurst, ON P1P 1H1 (705 687-3242) on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 12:00 noon - 1 pm, followed by the funeral at 1 pm. Interment at Mickle Memorial Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
