William Montgomery

Montgomery, Thomas William (Bill) January 29, 1929 - March 31, 2012 Bill passed away after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Predeceased by the love of his life, Nora Muriel Montgomery (nee Smith), who died May 26, 2008. Beloved father of Margaret (Tom) Kennedy of Huntsville, Susan (Art) Montgomery-Kalozdi of Platanillo de Baru, Costa Rica, and John (Lori) Montgomery of Whitby. Beloved brother of Jean (Bob) Wheeler of Meaford, Clare (Frank) McGeown of Newmarket, and Jim (Loretta) Montgomery of Bowmanville. The Wednesday Gang is going to miss The Brain. Loving Grandfather Sir to Scott (Haruyo) Bellamy of Tokyo, Japan, Andrew Montgomery of Barrie, and Daniel, Victoria and Emily Montgomery of Whitby. GGFS to Saya and Miya Bellamy of Tokyo. Much loved by his many nieces and nephews. Bill was a true patriarch who profoundly influenced the lives of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was intensely curious about the world around him, a gourmet cook, and an avid gardener. Bill's love of learning and of life is his most lasting legacy to his family and to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bill's life will be held shortly. Bill's family would like to thank the nursing staff at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge for their exceptional care and sensitivity in making Bill's last weeks comfortable and dignified.
