Obituary

LITTLE, John Graham – Died on September 15th 2022, after an incredibly brief battle with Leukemia. He was in his 75th year.

He was a Brother to Stuart and AnnaLou, Uncle to many and friend to all he met. He spent 40 years in Kirkland Lake as a business man, and his last 10 years in Muskoka, closer to his cherished family.  John was a man of many careers over the years, but his most beloved jobs were being a husband, father and grandfather.  With his dearest wife Lesia of 52 years, he enjoyed numerous travels all over the world. His passion was gardening, and the gardens grew bigger and more beautiful every year.  He very much looked forward to each spring, so he could add to the garden.  Never to shy away from a conversation with his neighbours, the many walks he took through Pine Ridge lasted for hours.  John was so proud of his children Pamela and Robert, and equally proud of his son-in law John and daughter-in-law Suzana.  The birth of his grandson Matthew was the spark that motivated John to move away from his home in Kirkland Lake to be closer to his family.  John taught Matthew the meaning of a “well earned buck!”  And Matthew cherished every moment he spent with Grandpa.  Pam enjoyed her father’s “banter” and they could discuss anything. He championed all her quests and always made her feel that she was capable of anything - what a gift.  He was a loving, supportive father, and his son Robert considered him his best friend.  As the years progressed, Robert always kept John up to date with the latest technology and gadgets he loved so much.  John also supported his communities in many capacities. He was a Life Member of the Kirkland Lake Lions Club, he sat on numerous Boards, and especially enjoyed his time with KL 4 Seasons Yard Care with Community Living. John appreciated his many coffee buddies over the years.  He outlived so many of them, and now it was his time.  John’s was a life well-lived.
