Preneed Specialist/Funeral Director
Marianne was born and raised on Manitoulin Island, living above her family funeral home she was introduced to death, bereavement and funeral service at very young age. She spent her teenage and young adult years in Southwestern Ontario working at the funeral home as a highschool co-op placement student, funeral director apprentice, and preplanning director.
Licensed in 1996, she went on to work with funeral homes across Ontario assisting them with their preneed programs within their communities and the families they serve.
Marianne stepped away from funeral service when her twin daughters (now 11) were younger to be closer to home. She has returned to funeral service, joining our team in the fall of 2021 in the role of funeral director and director of preplanning.
Specializing in preneed, she is honoured to be able to help people prepare their arrangements ahead of time to provide peace of mind and to alleviate some of the burden on family so that they can be together at the time death occurs sharing their memories instead of worrying about the details and information required.
Marianne lives in Port Carling with her partner Steve, and her daughters Katie and Morgan.
